What Does Neurofeedback Treat?

Because neurofeedback works on the brain portion of the CNS (the CNS is comprised of the brain and spinal cord), there are many uses for EEG therapy. If an individual has excessively slow brainwave activity, he/she may feel tired, depressed, lethargic, and may seek assistance through coffee, caffeine, or other stimulants.

If an individual is in an over-aroused state with excessive fast brainwave activity, their symptoms often manifest in the form of stress, muscular tension, anxiety, insomnia, or various forms of headaches. Over aroused people often seek out alcohol or tranquilizers to help slow down their own CNS to a point that is more comfortable for them. EEG training rids various needs for self-medicating such as this.

Neurofeedback gives an individual the balance they need on demand, without relying on chemicals or alcohol or drugs.
